Black Friday Shopping Sales After Thanksgiving
Going to the Black Friday sales can be a hussle at times. Wonder why you need to line up for the big bang sales as early as 5 am. To be truthful, some products may meet your requirement and priced according to your budget, then, the early hours is worth it.
Another inconvenience is that Black Friday shopping sales are open to all major brick and mortar malls whereby you can visit one mall but do not have the time to scout around other malls.
This is where shopping online comes into play. Just like the brick and mortar shopping malls, the online shops will also be promoting the Black Friday sales. Changes Announcement To Blood-Suckers Blog
I am still a novice where blogging is concern. This blog is only about six months old and attracted a small stream of readers and some passerby. Originally this blog was planned to be blogging on my personal thoughts about the nation political issues and mix in with some online shopping. Having learn a little more, I need to phase out this political blog and turn it into a full fledged shopping blog. Those who are interested and need to purchase products online can return for price comparisons before deciding on your purchase.
Two months ago I set up a backup blog with the intention to make certain changes as I go along. This blog will be a socio-political blog and title Malaysia For All. More ranting, bashing and cursing, whether for the good or bad of the nation on this new blog.
The changes are ongoing and you may encounter incomplete or unable to access problems.
The whole change over process should be fully completed by end of this month or earlier.

Penang Anti ISA Light A Candle Vigil Pt.2
Malaysiakini reported that Tuition teacher Paula Khoo arrested at anti-ISA vigil on Saturday night. More at Malaysiakini
Everyday as you move along from one destination to another you are bound to notice that the law "prohibiting the gathering of more then four people" (illegal gathering) were broken every minute of the day and everywhere.
Our country's top leaders keep on reminding us that action will be taken should anyone broke any of the country's law. Their big dirty mouths keep spitting out this holy statement of theirs The "law is the law and no one is above the law".
Do they really meant what they say and order the police to act strictly according to the law, even if a crime is committed by the sons or son in laws of any leaders or members of the ruling parties?
I am 100% agreeable for the police to take action against anyone who broke the law of this country. But when action is taken against a person who committed an offence while another person is allow to commit the same offence with no action taken, then, there is a cause for concern.
Let me take you back to the latest arrest of Paula Khoo and the "Penang Anti ISA Light A Candle Vigil" on the 15th Nov 2008.
The Esplanade as usual is flooded with people on a Saturday night. I can see groups of people walking, sitting or fishing along this beautiful seafront. Nearby, the hawker center with two separated areas, one for selling halal food and the other for non halal were crowded as well.
You can see family members of 8 enjoying the tasty food while another group of 10 people talking ever so loudly as they drink their beer. As I walk towards the location where the vigil is to be held, I saw a bus load of passengers, most likely local tourist, disembarking. They look very happy upon seeing the beautiful night scene of the Esplanade, some started clicking away with their modern digital cameras. I roughly estimated there are about 30 people in this group.
I could easily see at least 10 groups comprising more than 5 people enjoying themselves at various parts of the Esplanade.
At this moment my mind does not provide me any hint at all that almost all the people having a good time at the Esplanade were committing an offence according to the law of the country.
The vigil started at 8pm sharp with the welcome message from the MC. She invited speakers to take the stage to speak their thoughts and bring awareness to the public about the expired draconian ISA Act. The ISA is good to fight the communists and terrorists but when it is used indiscriminately against those who speak or write the truth and voice their concern against the ruling government, then, this ISA Act does not serve its original purposes anymore and must be repealed.
In between speakers, the MC also played the guitar and sang a few songs to the delight of the audiences who join in the singing as well. A carnival like environment, I should say.
Many people knew that a few SBs were mingling among the crowd before the event starts and they could not be bothered with them. Half way through the event, 6 to 8 uniformed police arrived and stand along side the crowds. Everything was peaceful, just like the other crowds that I mentioned earlier, everyone just having the fun and enjoyment spending their weekend time at the Esplanade.
What could go wrong, nothing, the crowds are not going to start a riot or start hurling stones even with the arrival of 5 FRU personals just five minutes before the event ended.
The event came to a close just before 9pm and while the organiser start to pack their things, we heard the police issuing orders for the crowd to disperse within ten minutes. The police was clarifying with one of the organiser that this gathering was without permit.
While everyone was busy talking, organisers moving their equipments and others just standing around, two policewomen quietly escorted the MC to a white van which we learn a little later that she was taken to the Pattani Road Police Station for interrogation.

Why the arrest or rather the indiscriminate arrest?
If the police are just doing their job and following the law they need to arrest her as the gathering is without a permit. Fair, very fair I would say. But what about the other groups hanging around the Esplanade, why are they not arrested as well?
The government had spoken, "nobody is above the law". Right and good. Can I ask a stupid question, did the 5 FRU apply for a permit to gather at the Esplanade? If not why? They cannot be above the law. Did the 6 to 8 uniformed policemen apply for a permit to gather at the Esplanade? We do not care whether its their job or they are performing their duties, but the law specify very clearly that any gathering of more than 4 people must have a police permit and nobody is above the law.
Malik Imtiaz Sarwar had written "An Open Letter To The Inspector General of Police" and I abstract a portion to highlight what I am trying to say as well.
Compare, for instance, the experience of protestors outside the Bar Council and UITM students demonstrating against the admission of non-Malays this August with the treatment of participants in the anti-ISA vigil held earlier this month. While the third event had dispersed, spontaneous peaceful gatherings of small groups of citizens were acted against with force and culminated in numerous arrests. Though the earlier two events were by any comparison that much more aggressive, no action was taken despite the protest outside the Bar Council having disrupted a closed-door event.
Fellow Malaysians, where are we heading. The door to Freedom for this country is closing so fast that if we do not do anything now, a full police state will be installed when you wake up one fine day.

Penang Anti ISA Light A Candle Vigil Pt.1
A successful Anti ISA peaceful gathering but disappointed with the arrest of Paula Khoo after the end of the vigil.
It's well past 3:30 am in the morning as I blog this event. Was together with the others at the police station waiting for Paula's released.
My mind is still dazed and will do another full posting about the event and the arrest of Paula Khoo.
Malaysiakini reporters and three other Chinese medias were there to witness the event .
Thanks to MP Liew Chin Tong and MP Jeff Ooi for turning up at the police station and Zorro Bernard for his concern and his posting about the arrest.

Wake Up Call - Pakatan Rakyat, You Are Under Attack
Malaysiakini reports on "Higher deficit budget for Penang", with a RM39.4 million deficit Budget 2009. More at Malaysiakini.
Being a Penangnite's, I will just hit or "attack" the Penang State Government and hopefully other States under Pakatan Rakyat will heed this wake up call.
Penang State now under PR rule, especially DAP must not repeat the same mistakes by the previous umno/bn government. The people voted PR for just one simple reason, and that is to see changes from the bad and mismanagement of the previous government to an open, creative and honest government with the State and the rakyat in mind.
I had read through various blogs that posted many negative views of the State Government with readers negative comments as well. This is not a good sign and we have Realigned Bloggers who are using their blogs and their latest tools, "the medias" to spin the other way round, claiming that "We can’t attack the DAP, Anwar, Teresa" which is totally untrue.
This is my statement in an earlier posting titled, Realigned Bloggers Who Themselves Are Showing Their True Colours:
As bloggers especially socio-political blogs, we penned our thoughts which should be neutral and base on true facts. We will "attack" anyone that is perceived to have done wrong even if it is the party we are aligned too.
Its well over eight months since PR took over the State Government and there are good and bad decisions being made so far. We do not expect 100% achievement but at least there must be a certain level of visual improvement in the State.
There are bloggers who are attacking every decision that the State make, especially on the proposed wifi access throughout the State, transportation systems, the MOU with the Koreans on the proposed Golf Course and the “Kings of Tennis” debacle.
From what I observed, the bloggers who are leading the pack and most of the rakyat want to know everything inside out of any development plan proposed by the State Government even before any negotiation takes place.
This must be a tough call, but, if the State Government is really working towards the advancement and betterment of the State and the people, following DAP's CAT ideology, I am sure something can be worked out.
Even though the “Kings of Tennis” debacle was caused by private interest, the State Government must still share the blame for the debacle. We understand that any event, be it by the Government or private sector will still have to go through the Government to get all the necessary paper works and approval done.
To prevent any future debacles of any kind, the State Government must come out with a "Central Think Tank" (CTT) comprising of experience professionals ranging from Planners, Consultants of various fields, Environmentalists to NGOs. This CTT is not the EXCOs or Government officials nor politicians.
This CTT is an independent body, where they will study all preliminary private and Government development proposals, events etc, etc, that means everything that are of concern to the State and the public.
The CTT will have to gauge the pros, cons and evaluation of each development or event proposal and if deem necessary to arrange forum to get the feedbacks from the public. At this stage, the CTT is also responsible to disseminate informations to the public about all the preliminary private and Government development proposals and events on their studies and findings. Some projects may be confidential because of certain understanding with foreign investors, but, this does not stop the CTT from the evaluations and recommendations.
After completing the evaluation of each project, the CTT will then submit their findings and make recommendations to the Government whether the project is viable to proceed and also with the public endorsement. The Government will then decide base on the CTT recommendations and if any project falls in the negative evaluation, the Government will have to restudy or restructure the said project before implementation.
The public now wants to know more what the Government is planning or implementing projects that can be of benefits to them and not destroy the environment or causes certain negative effects.
My suggestion may not be so easily implemented, but I hope the State Government will look into something that works along this line.
We need to see a "Separation Of Power" decision making.

There are bloggers who are attacking every decision that the State make, especially on the proposed wifi access throughout the State, transportation systems, the MOU with the Koreans on the proposed Golf Course and the “Kings of Tennis” debacle.
From what I observed, the bloggers who are leading the pack and most of the rakyat want to know everything inside out of any development plan proposed by the State Government even before any negotiation takes place.
This must be a tough call, but, if the State Government is really working towards the advancement and betterment of the State and the people, following DAP's CAT ideology, I am sure something can be worked out.
Even though the “Kings of Tennis” debacle was caused by private interest, the State Government must still share the blame for the debacle. We understand that any event, be it by the Government or private sector will still have to go through the Government to get all the necessary paper works and approval done.
To prevent any future debacles of any kind, the State Government must come out with a "Central Think Tank" (CTT) comprising of experience professionals ranging from Planners, Consultants of various fields, Environmentalists to NGOs. This CTT is not the EXCOs or Government officials nor politicians.
This CTT is an independent body, where they will study all preliminary private and Government development proposals, events etc, etc, that means everything that are of concern to the State and the public.
The CTT will have to gauge the pros, cons and evaluation of each development or event proposal and if deem necessary to arrange forum to get the feedbacks from the public. At this stage, the CTT is also responsible to disseminate informations to the public about all the preliminary private and Government development proposals and events on their studies and findings. Some projects may be confidential because of certain understanding with foreign investors, but, this does not stop the CTT from the evaluations and recommendations.
After completing the evaluation of each project, the CTT will then submit their findings and make recommendations to the Government whether the project is viable to proceed and also with the public endorsement. The Government will then decide base on the CTT recommendations and if any project falls in the negative evaluation, the Government will have to restudy or restructure the said project before implementation.
The public now wants to know more what the Government is planning or implementing projects that can be of benefits to them and not destroy the environment or causes certain negative effects.
My suggestion may not be so easily implemented, but I hope the State Government will look into something that works along this line.
We need to see a "Separation Of Power" decision making.

Realigned Bloggers Who Themselves Are Showing Their True Colours
Update: As individual we can align to any party of our choosing be it for money or any kind of incentives.
As bloggers especially socio-political blogs, we penned our thoughts which should be neutral and base on true facts. We will "attack" anyone that is perceived to have done wrong even if it is the party we are aligned too.
We cannot argue and defend the indefensible just because we wanted to be in the good book of our party.
Malaysiakini had being reporting about umno news but not on realigned bloggers who have shown their true colours for MalaysiaKini.
Ever since the famous blogger and the President of National Bloggers Alliance, Rockybru, slowly starting to realign himself to the shifting change in umno leadership, sometime in the middle of this year, I knew for certain that more bloggers of his kind will follow suit.
I just read the star spinning news about bloggers through Kickdefella blog and here is my take of what they are trying to spin and these realigned bloggers showing their own true colours.
“We are seeing the true colours of the socio-political bloggers,” explained Rocky.
There is a change in attitude. Bloggers are shown to be political activists.
“Those claiming they are for change are not walking the talk,” he said, citing the Selangor Government’s stand on the latest temple demolition. People are rearranging their hierarchy of trust. Before, trust was very high. Now we are slipping very fast.”
“I used to support Pakatan,” declared Zainol Abidin, 50 (aka Mahaguru58). “I felt we needed a change. I expected change. Now they have taken over five states and there is no change. So I am aligning myself to no one, not the Barisan, and I will whack Anwar (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) left, right and blue!”
Former journalist Nuraina Samad, whose 3540 jalan sudin has over a million hits, was more philosophical. The Government had come under “unbridled attack and some people now feel that enough is enough”, she said.
You can always sense the government control medias are spinning when you received a one sided views reporting. What rocky said is very true, for he himself is the one who shows his true colour and with his realignment to the umno new leadership, he is now a valuable assets to the news media.
You can easily pick some realigned bloggers to stand up together with you to condemn the five States under PKR rule for not effecting changes but does not identify what kind of changes they want. I am very sure that for each blogger who is not seeing any changes of the five States, there are ten bloggers who can see that the changes are on going even though there are so many obstacles along the way which these realigned bloggers know very well.

I recall the only incident at rocky's blog about Teresa and utusan where rocky defended utusan (in the name "freedom of the press")for printing lies about the azan, where over 90% of comments do not agree with him. So, Zuraina, are you suggesting we must allow rocky to attack DAP Teresa with impunity even though rocky is hiding behind the freedom of the press argument to defend utusan for false reporting?

Again, I recall that some kind of corruptions happen with some Perak excos. When this news broke, I remember reading from bloggers and their readers hitting hard at PKR for allowing it to happen. The latest is on the fuss over the Korean trip by the Penang State government. Without verifying, some bloggers including readers also hit at the DAP State Government. There may be a few who are combative and go on the offensive, which I think is because most of the cases have yet to be clarified.

DNA Identification Bill 2008 Public Forum
Malaysiakini had being reporting about this bill and the bar council reaction to it and many are still unaware about the consequences that we are facing for MalaysiaKini.
We must not make the same mistake again, allowing the ruling government to introduce all kind of acts that do not place the interest and rights or concerns of the rakyat. Just like the ISA act which goes through Parliament without much outcry or debate, it was used indiscriminately and well over 10,000 people had gone through hell without any recourse. The home minister is holding such great power that he can simply order the detention of anyone under the ISA.
This DNA Identification Bill 2008 Public Forum is an opportunity for everyone to understand the implication and consequences if this bill is pass as it is.

The DNA Identification Bill 2008 was tabled in Parliament in August and hailed as a beneficial and necessary tool to fight crime more effectively. The Bill contains provisions to compel DNA testing, establish a national DNA databank and regulate the use of DNA profiles. Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar reportedly told Parliament that DNA profiling is “completely transparent and scientific”, can only “tell the truth” and will thus not result in any wrongful convictions.
However, the Bill has drawn vocal criticism, including concerns that it does not contain adequate legal safeguards, would place excessive powers in the hands of the police and the relevant Minister, generally assumes that DNA profiling is a precise and infallible science, and has not undergone a process of consultation with relevant stakeholders.
One aspect of the Bill that has come under particular attack is the conclusive evidence clause, which provides that DNA evidence would be conclusive proof. As a result, the accused cannot challenge the veracity and authenticity of DNA samples by presenting other forms of evidence.
Critics also say that the Bill is problematic because it permits DNA samples to be taken from too wide a range of persons, and would punish those who refuse to provide DNA samples. Coupled with the lack of a Data Protection Act in Malaysia, there are grave concerns that the Bill would result in infringements on privacy rights.
The Bar Council is of the view that we have to consider whether such a Bill is needed at this time, taking into consideration the high cost of maintaining a DNA databank. The limited use of DNA in solving and prosecuting crimes may not justify the high cost of maintaining the databank.
The government should provide the public with facts and figures, based on comprehensive studies, to justify the need for a DNA databank and to indicate what level of additional crimes will be solved as a result of this Bill.
We urge the government to use the monies that would be allocated for the DNA databank to focus instead on crime prevention. Concrete measures that could be taken include increasing police personnel for street patrols, setting up more police beats, improving training facilities, upgrading the equipment and support systems at all police stations, and improving the salary structure for police personnel.
Now the DAP MPs is having this public forum to hear your views so that they can take it to Parliament for the DNA Identification Bill 2008 debate.
Please attend this forum to understand this Bill and voice your concern. We need to help and support the MPs and Bar Council in order for them to help us.

We have so much still to do to clean up this arrogant and corrupt ruling government. We must remember the other 65 ISA detainees still inside Kamunting, being held without any charges against them.

Syed Hamid Must Go Malaysiakini Reported, Instead, Will RPK Be Rearrested
The good news since the March 8th tsunami is the release of Raja Petra Kamarudin today. We must not be overjoyed as yet. My earlier posting Police HQ In Contact With The Home Ministry Now is a warning that RPK may be rearrested. There have been cases in the past of ISA detainees being re-arrested after the courts had allowed their habeas corpus applications. Karpal Singh of DAP was freed by the Ipoh High Court in 1988 but arrested in Nibong Tebal on his way to Penang.
We just have to wait and see since the people in power do not like to lose face and will surely think very hard how to overcome the losses today including the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court ruling in Anwar Ibrahim's favour that his sodomy trial would be heard in the same court.
Since the released of RPK many are calling for home minister Syed Hamid to resign as reported by Malaysiakini.

The release of well-known blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin was today welcomed by politicians and civil rights activists, who called it a triumph for the rule of law. Details at Malaysiakini.
Will he resigned, I think not and be assured that he will come out with another "foot in the mouth statement."
Its no point getting rid of Syed Hamid because another of the same calibre will take over. What we need is the total repeal of this ISA act.
We must support this call and the least we can do is to lend support by attending any candle light vigils. The list of locations for upcoming vigils informations is here.

Raja Petra Kamarudin To Be Released Today

The Shah Alam High Court this morning ordered the release of Malaysia Today editor and blogger Raja Petra Kamaruddin who had been detained under the Internal Security Act since Sept. 12, 2008.
The judge, Justice Syed Ahmad Helmy Syed Ahmad ordered the police to produce RPK, who is detained in Kamunting Detention Centre, in Shah Alam court by 4 pm today to be formally released.
We will have to wait till 4:00pm, until then, we hope that EVIL home minister will not craft out something else to rearrest him. I am from Penang and cannot rush down to see RPK freedom. Those who are around there please show your support by being there.

This act is used against anyone that is a threat to the internal security of umno and not of the nation. This ABUSE, MISUSE and DISCRIMATE ISA must be wiped out of this earth completely.
The 66 ISA Detainees including RPK and the HINDRAF 5 are the victims of this draconian act and we, the rakyat can be detained any time at their whim and fancy or when their misguided minds feel that their own internal security are threaten.
In order to wipe out this contagious disease completely, we need every support from the rakyat to voice out against the ISA. We are not using the violent way but by way of lighting candles.

Did Badawi Calls For Change In The Election Process For Malaysia PM?
Obama chalks up historic win, reports Malaysiakini
Democrat candidate Barack Obama has been elected as the US first black president following his historic win over Republican rival John McCain. Malaysiakini full report here.
To be among the first to congratulate Obama, Badawi was asked when Malaysia will also have the chance to see a non-Malay prime minister, Abdullah said such situation can happen anywhere as it depends on the people who decide the outcome.
Did Badawi lied again? He knows that the present Malaysia Prime Minister is not elected by the people but by a bunch of umno blood suckers members. Why then did he said that "it depends on the people who decide the outcome". Anyone, including Obama will assume that it means the people of Malaysia and not just a handful of umno members.
Does this mean that Badawi is calling for change on the election process for Malaysia's Prime Minister?

However, Obama’s historic breakthrough make many Malaysians ask whether it is possible for a Chinese, Indian, Kadazan to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia although the Constitution is very clear that any Malaysian citizen, regardless of race or religion can become Prime Minister.
Yes, I think Malaysians must call for the Prime Minister post be elected by all eligible voters and not just by a bunch of blood suckers umno members.
We know this is not going to happen as long as umno is still holding power. The only way is (words borrowed from Khairy) to BURY umno and not only will the country have a legitimate elected Prime Minister but a prosperous united Malaysians.

Big Fuss About The Korean Trip, No Fuss On The Mongolian Trip!
Wow! Luckily this is a Korean trip and not the Mongolian trip. Anyway would the new PM Najib send a delegation on business trip to Mongolia? Many would be surprised if he does.
Recently the Penang State Government went on a trade mission to Korea which came under attack from the oppositions of the State and some bloggers as well.

Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng today took to task critics for making a big fuss on the state's Korean trade mission while being "strangely quiet" over the billion-ringgit scandals at the federal government level. 52-person trip came under fire. Malaysiakini full report here.
These attackers including bloggers simply blast out their dissatisfaction over the trip without actually viewing the whole scenario of the trade mission. They did not weigh the overall advantage of it but select a point of discontention that they feel can arouse the public anger against the State Government.

I hope Gerakan and Umno should stop insulting our private sector by accusing them of wasting taxpayers' money, because their combined 42-member delegation was paid for through their own pockets.
Guan Eng appeared alongside representative speakers from France, Russia and Hong Kong-based Indonesian enterprise. To be CAT about it, his travel and accommodation expenses were paid for by the host, Korea Tourism Organisation (KTO).

Penang Anti ISA Vigil - The BIG One
The flame must not be diminished, the fight must continue until all the ISA detainees are release and the EVIL ISA Act repeal.
Fellow Malaysians, we are not living in the early centuries anymore but the 21st century. We cannot allow the indiscriminate use of the ISA in the name of security. What security may I ask? Is RPK, journalist Tan Hoon Cheng, MP Teresa Kok and activist Cheng Lee Whee a real threat to the country's security?
They are using this ISA to serve their own purposes, simply detaining anyone who are vocal to voice out the truth. Simply put, they do not like the truth to be make known, hence the ISA detention.
I may be next, you may also and so are your family members and friends. They need to say only one thing to detain you, "security" and you and I will had it.
We must join forces and show the great magic of "People's Power". We are not going to riot on the street but just to light a candle. We are acting in a peaceful way. If you love your country and feel that the draconian ISA is being abused for unjustified purposes then join us to light a candle to tell the authority that this ISA must go.
