This year, my 55 birthday falls on the same day as Father's Day. What a great day for me and do I expect much from my families and friends for this special day. No, I do not, just like each and every father day, I just wish that all of them remain happy and stay in good health. Most do send the father's day greeting card including my birthday greeting, as my birthday falls very close to father day every year. Wow, they can save cost on that, two in one package..ha, ha...Being a father, just like a mother, I have the responsibility to bring them up, love them, nature them and ensure that they are well prepared to enter this unpredictable world environment. I do not expect them to scarifies anything in return but would be just happy to see that they will bring up their own children as what we did to them.
Most fathers do not express so openly their love and care but deep inside the heart, believe me, its always there. Although the way of handling the families matters may differ from mothers, the end cause is just the same.
Fathers may not express the desire for gifts on Father's Day, but if given, they will be very happy indeed. As always, I stressed that the amount of the gift is not important but what counts is the sincerity of giving. If you are able and can afford, you can always get what your father has hope and dream for. If not, just a simple dinner or pay him a visit to have a family gathering is all that he needs. With today's economy meltdown, many may ill afford any special father's day gift, it does not matter, just send a greeting card or a phone call to tell him that you have not forgotton the great day, he will just be as happy.
