Anwar Targeted For Assasination?

Malaysiakini just released the report, Syed Husin: Anwar a target of assassination. Read Malaysiakini report at Malaysiakini Website.

All happenings within the last 24 hours, cause me to wonder whether we are heading for a first world developed country or becoming worst then the third world country.

We have seen many third world countries disintegrated and the people suffering all due to political struggle and fights. Do we see any such thing happening in the first world developed countries? They just admit defeat and gracefully back down without causing any tension in their countries.

Is Malaysia heading towards a political civil war?

I am hoping that the Badawi administration comes to their senses and stop whatever they try to do (hearsay) to hang on to power. We do not need another Mugabe and turn our country into Zimbabwe. The PDRM must remain neutral and police the country in this present situation diligently and professionally.

All These Will Benefit The Rakyat?

I usually do not turn on the computer on Sunday and do not listen to the bias tv stations news and what makes me turn on the computer today I can really never know.

What greets me when I see Malaysiakini website is another report against Anwar Ibrahim for sodomy. Malaysiakini reports; The 23-year-old aide claims that he was sodomised by PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim. You can read more on the updated news at Malaysiakini website.

My initial thought is why and who is creating this fiasco again and for what purpose. A few bloggers have already posted about this news on their blogs. The indication is quite clear, that Anwar Ibrahim is a "pain in the ass" to the ruling party and he must be terminated at all cost even if the rakyat have to suffer.

As we all know on whose side the PDRM and AG is on, the conclusion is that a quick investigation will take place within a day or two with the question mark of whether to proceed with the arrest and press charges.

Is the ruling government trying to create chaos and to take full control by enforcing an emergency? Is this the way to strengthen the party after a shocking defeat in the last general election? Is this the way to stop Anwar Ibrahim to form the next government ( if what he claims is true )? And many many more questions why this is happening again.

All these are for the benefit of the rakyat?

The PM must come out with a statement of what is really happening to stop any further rumours and tension among the rakyat.

I would suggest that the Royalty must do something at this initial stage before the fight for political powers grows ugly. I think the Agong should call the PM for a pep talk and to question him whether he is running the country with the rakyat in mind or something else.

For Anwar Ibrahim, you should be prepared for another arrest and make many copies of your working schedules, date , time and places, all evidents to prove your innocent.

I am calling all rakyat to stay calm should Anwar Ibrahim be arrested and not to go to the street and play into the hand of the people in power who feel that they might be losing power and enforce the emergency rule.

Big Trouble Blooming For Raja Petra

Malaysikini reported that Raja Petra Kamarudin could face the rap from the police if the attorney-general finds that there are elements of libel against the government in his June 18 statutory declaration. Malaysiakini report at malaysiakini.com

I am always puzzle as to how our legal system and PDRM work. What I understand is that a complete investigation must be carried out for any crime before any suggestion of actions can be taken.

But in our beloved country Malaysia now (Malaysiakini), if you are within the corridor of power you are always in safe heaven and well protected.

There is always a silent when any crime is hearsay to have connected to vvip. I think I am not wrong to use hearsay because the government also use hearsay to disallow the use of the in-deletable ink for the recent concluded election.

The AG and PDRM will tend to focus on the individual whistle blower and try their best to ensure that what information's given if they are link to any vvip are most likely libel, seditious, defamation or false and action will be taken against the individual even though investigation has yet to be completed.

The puzzle here in Raja Petra case is, the sign of guilt is already in place while the police says investigation is still on going.

Yes I am fully in agreement with the AG and PDRM for highlighting that Raja Petra could face the rap if there are elements of libel against the government but I did not hear what will happen if Raja Petra SD is true?

Here is another question, the SD mentioned individual names but why the report stated against the government?

The government, AG and PDRM must act independently and only the truth be prevailed with no cover ups whatsoever even if they involve vvip.

Malaysiakini: Opposition Pledges Yet Unfulfilled

Malaysiakini headline highlights the opposition pledges yet to be fulfilled. You can read Malaysiakini report here.

Why only the opposition pledges are always under the reporters or journalists radar. It seems like our country is producing journalists and reporters who are train to attack the weakest link on governance.

The mandate on the 8/3/08 gives the opposition five years to run the states they are in control. Yes there are promises and pledges during the election campaigns. We have to dissect and take a good look inside the promises and pledges. The reporters and journalists are all very well educated and should understand why some pledges and promises cannot be fulfilled immediately. Is there any election laws that require winning parties to fulfill their promises and pledges the next day they take over governance?

I seldom see BN being targeted or questioned on their non fulfillment of their promises and pledges for the past 12 general election, in fact some goes against their promises and pledges. Why are they not attack on a frequent basis?

The journalists and reporters must be able to see and read all sides of the stories fairly for both the opposition and ruling parties. You cannot be afraid to write the truth even if you have to step the toes of those in power.

I agree that Pakatan Rakyat should concentrate more on running the states they are in control rather then preoccupied on power grabbing.

One important thing that the reporters and journalists must pursue is to get the Federal Government to allocate equal funding to all states irrespective of who is governing. They must be reminded that the money belongs to the rakyat and the taxes they collect comes from the rakyat throughout the country. Can the reporters and journalists dare to question where are our money gone to?

9MP : Inject 30Bil, Penang Lost 3.5 Bil Malaysiakini

Malaysiakini reports, Abdullah launches mid-term review of 9MP, Gov't injects extra RM30 bil into 9MP and Economic Planning Unit (EPU) of the Prime Minister's Department today said that the RM2 billion Penang Monorail and RM1.5 billion Penang Outer Ring Road have been shelved.

You can read Malaysiakini report here, here and here.

I am not sure whether Abdullah understand what he is reading on the mid-term review of the 9MP. I am no economist and what I understand is neither is Abdullah who graduated as an islamic or religious scholar.

The text he is reading must be prepared by someone else who may or may not be an economist as well.

I have no taste to go through all these details on the 9MP, moreover I could not understand how the planning goes about.

I would appreciate if some economists who read this post, may highlight or explain what I am writting below is right or wrong.

If I am not wrong, the RM2 billion Penang Monorail and RM1.5 billion Penang Outer Ring Road had already being factored into the 9MP just like the Penang second bridge. With the mid-term review of the 9MP, RM3.5 Billion of Penang development were shelved even though there is an injection of an addition of RM30 billion.

Najib is quick to declare that this is not a punishment due to the State falling into the hand of Pakatan Rakyat.

As Penang CM Lim Guan Eng expressed, why the Federal Government did not discuss with the State first.

Penang badly need an improvement on the public transportations and infrastructures and I see no reason why these two projects have to be shelved. It is not a useless mega projects like the super corridoors launch by Abdullah.

As a Penangnite I would say that the Penang second bridge should be shelved instead of these two projects.

To summarise, I see the Federal Government under BN is really going out to punish those States under Pakatan Rakyat.

Seeing the danger of losing MPs from the Eastern States of Sabah and Sarawak, they are pumping more RM to these two States by shelving important and urgent development projects from States under Pakatan Rakyat rules.

And lastly, why shelved these two projects which cost only RM3.5 billion when and injection of RM30 billion is in placed?

Malaysiakini Website Cannot Load

Najib Finally Speaks Out Malaysiakini

Finally Najib speaks out as reported by Malaysiakini.

Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak today denied that his wife, Rosmah Mansor, was involved in the killing of Altantuya Shaariibuu as claimed by blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin.

You can read the Malaysiakini story here.

At this point everyone implicated has the right to deny but denying does not mean one is not guilty. The police and AG have to investigate and get to the bottom of the SD by Raja Petra. They have to act independently even it involves the vvip.

The question is, can our police and legal system be trusted to conduct a fair investigation? Your say.

How Sure Are you Mr. PM?

This news was posted at MalaysiaToday but not reported as yet at Malaysiakini. Other Malaysiakini news can be read here.

Malaysia's prime minister denied Tuesday that his deputy's wife was involved in the sensational killing of a young Mongolian woman, and said that action will be taken against the prominent blogger who made the allegation.

"Raja Petra's actions are unacceptable. It is not right," Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi told reporters Tuesday. "I don't believe that Najib and Rosmah are involved."

How sure are you Mr. Prime Minister? Can you confirmed that on the stated date and time as mentioned by Raja Petra SD (part of it reproduce below) :

1. I have been reliably informed that between about 10 p.m. on 19th October 2006 and early hours of the following day, the night Altantuya Shaariibuu was murdered, three (3) other people were also present at the scene of the crime;

(a) Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak

that you are with Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor in order for you to ascertain that she is not involved? If she is not with you on the stated date and time, then there can be no way that you know where she is or what she is doing.

Your call to take action against the prominent blogger who made the allegation is rather premature. Is there no law in this country? You should instead call for a full investigation and let the law takes its own course.

"I don't believe that Najib and Rosmah are involved."
It is not for you to believe or not to believe. How can you deny on someone else behalf.

You have the right to defend yourself by rejecting this section of the SD

4. I have further been reliably informed that Prime Minister, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has received a written report from the Military Intelligence confirming what I have revealed above and that the report was subsequently handed over to his son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin, for safe-keeping.

because your name was mentioned.

MalaysiaKini Parliament Playing Cat And Mouse

Is our Malaysia Parliament Now (MalaysiaKini) playing cat and mouse? Do we really need to have Parliament sitting? It seems like our Parliament is going to the dog.

A call for a vote of no confidence against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi by Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) President Datuk Yong Teck Lee has received endorsement by SAPP supreme council.

Feeling the pressure and to be ahead, a motion by the Minister for Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad seeking support for the measures taken by the government over price increases of food, oil and commodities, including reduction of oil subsidies was tabled with the motion going through on a 129 Yes and 78 No.

The motion by Datuk Shahrir should have been tabled before they implement the so call measures over price increases of food, oil and commodities, including reduction of oil subsidies and NOT AFTER.

So does the PM or BN feel better after the motion with the 129 members support?

I think the Parliament has more urgent matters to resolve rather then wasting time to call and show support for any individual or party.

For Barisan National Parliamentarians, please think of the rakyat first before your party. Its no point sticking to the party rule that you have to follow the whip instruction to vote for or against. If your leader is weak, its weak, that, you cannot change even though he may be a nice guy but we do not need a nice guy but a strong and able leader to run our country.

For Pakatan Rakyat Parliamentarians, please do not create unnecessary tension. If you have the majority to take over the Federal Government, just do it. Don't keep prolonging your statement that you have the numbers but waiting for this or that. Do not create political uncertainties which may lead to unnecessary suffering of the rakyat.

To all Parliamentarians, the rakyat is suffering, the economy is bad, we the rakyat need you all to sit in Parliament to work out solutions and resolve the problems and not fight against each other.

To the Prime Minister, do not make any further flip-flop statements. Your last statement calling Yong Teik Lee a greedy man is totally uncalled. Tell me which one of your elected members is not greedy. As of today, what I know is that they are all elected to gain something and not really to serve the rakyat. Just like you, why are you still hanging on, when there are calls for you to step down.

Get down to work and stop playing cat and mouse.

Raja Petra And The Altantuya Shaariibuu Murder Case - Malaysiakini

Its very disturbing to see how our laws are being manipulated by the people in power. Not just the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder case where there have been many discrepancies, prosecutable setbacks over the course of the trial and even the prosecution has attempted to impeach one of its own star witnesses.

We did not have to look far. The Royal Commission on the Lingam tape indicates in a certain way there are fixing of judges and corruptions in the judiciary system. Take the case of Yong Teik Lee who propose a no-confidence motion against the prime minister, ACA spare no time to re investigate his corruption case although ACA claim is not politically connected, but who will believe.

Now Raja Petra had drop a nuclear bomb with his statutory declaration alleging that Deputy Prime Minister Najib's wife was at the murder scene of Mongolian national Altantuya Shaariibuu. You can read the full detail here and Malaysiakini report here.

There are way too many cover ups and sweeping all misdeeds under the carpet. Our country laws are enforce to prosecute crimes committed by the ordinary folks, opposition parties who may or may not have committed any crime and to those who dares to challenge the wrong doing of the people in power. The way our police force, ACA and the judiciary bias acts give the impression that those in power are above the law.

Its being four days since the posting by Raja Petra of his statutory declaration and we have yet to hear any respond from the PM, SIL and the wife of the DPM.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said the three individuals named in the document filed on June 18 would also be called up.

As reported:
Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan said the three individuals named in the document filed on June 18 would also be called up.

Why only the three individuals and Raja Petra?. There are five names mentioned in the statutory declaration which includes as per Raja Petra posting:

I have further been reliably informed that Prime Minister, Dato Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has received a written report from the Military Intelligence confirming what I have revealed above and that the report was subsequently handed over to his son-in-law, Khairy Jamaluddin, for safe-keeping.

Is the PM and SIL not going to be questioned by the police? Or is it that they are above the law and cannot be touched?

Political Boom-Boom

As per my last post, I feel the need to go on a retreat at Genting, thinking that the country political scence had more or less tone down.

I shut out from the world while retreating at Genting, not even listening to the tv news or read any papers.

I just switch on my computer today (22/6/08) and what a horror do I read. So many political happening during my four days of absent.

Will have to spend hours going through the news. I will give my thoughts on this blog after digesting all of it and also will write something on my retreat at Genting.

Stay tune, will be back very soon.

Genting Retreat

Will be going for a short retreat from tomorrow.

What, just started blogging for a week and need to go for a retreat?

Since February after Parliament dissolved to pave way for GE12, I had been surfing for our country political news practically everyday. I even stop updating my online shopping mall, just to stay close to the political happenings or rather awakening. Well, the political excitement seems to have died down, so I think I need to have a quiet retreat alone to settle my mind. I need to start updating my online shopping mall to source for extra income to tie over when I come back.

Why Genting Highland? Have not being there for quite sometime and its cheaper locally than going overseas. Also to evaluate actually what makes Genting ticks..lol, its share has being sliding, closing at RM5.55 today.

See you all in a few days time. Chow

Petronas To Open Books To Public

As reported by malaysiakini.com:

Petronas could open its ledgers to the public as soon as next week as the government looks at cutting the fuel subsidy. Read more at Malaysiakini.com.

Why is it so hard for the government to release the yearly accounting for Petronas? Can it be that there are too much surplus money or the country coffer is empty. Either way the rakyat will go for their heads. The two scenarios are more likely tied together.

If there are surplus money, they would want to keep quiet about it, so that it can somehow be diverted elsewhere, you know where. If the country coffer is empty, then it will be seen that the money is being suck dry, how and by whom you should know also lah. The keyword CORRUPTIONS or we may term it as Blood-Suckers.

Do you want to wait until Petronas open their books or you may want to read it now at Sheih blog kickdefella.

While waiting for Petronas to bare all next week, Kickdefella reveals all the Government and Petronas data pertaining to the petroleum revenues. These are public data and readers can find it in the net and it is either belong to Bank Negara Malaysia, The Treasury or Petronas itself.

100 Days Of Governing

The first 100 days of assessment for both Pakatan Rakyat and BN Governing.

I had read through blogs for the past three months and there are various comments about the performance of Pakatan Rakyat. Many are of the opinion that it is still too early to gauge its performance. Yet there are others including some NGOs and Civil Societies firing one after another (even only after just two weeks) that Pakatan Rakyat does not keep its promises.

I was wondering, for the past 11 elections, I had yet to see BN fulfill all their promises after each election but these NGOs and Civil Societies were not that pressing on BN as they do to the Pakatan Rakyat now.

I had put up two Opinion Polls, one for Pakatan Rakyat and one for BN. You can see and vote them accordingly on the right hand side of your screen. The poll will run for one month.

Update: Penang Protest Oil Hikes Ceramah

Did not see any reports about the ceramah, not even Malaysiakini.

The first time, former opposition is allow to use the city stadium for its ceramah. What a differents with Pakatan Rakyat running the state now.

The actual ceramah starts at 9:30pm but I was there around 7pm. This ceramah was actually organised by PKR. No police around, no crowd rushing in (a vast different from the historic election campaign held at Han Chiang High School with over 30 thousand people).

The crowd was still small, about 1000, at 8pm. I was wondering why the low turn out. Then I saw the schedule on the screen. The actual ceramah will only start at 9:30pm, so the information provided earlier was not accurate.

By 9pm the crowd had grown to about 3000 with more people trickling in. The speakers comprising of Anwar Ibrahim, Lim Kit Siang, Lim Guan Eng and Mohd Sabu (Haji Awang was not able to attend) arrive at around 9:20pm.

Mohd Sabu was the first speaker and he gave a very impressive speech followed by Lim Kit Siang, both stressing about the oil price increased. Anwar Ibrahim was the third speaker and with his usual self start his fiery speech. The crowd comprises almost equal presentation of the races gave their approval with claps and shouting of reformasi.

I had to leave half way through Anwar Ibrahim speech due to another appointment. Before leaving, I estimated the crowd at around 8000.

Update : Malaysiakini had posted the report at Malaysiakini.com. You may have to register in order to read the full report.

Another Promise Not Kept

"You will get your fuel rebate within three (3) minutes" at any post office.

Another promise not kept!

My daughter just inform me on the situation regarding the fuel rebate claim at the post office.

She went over to the post office located at Penang Tesco around noon. She got the cue number 175. She then fill up the form and seeing that her turn will be quite sometime she went for lunch and run some errant.

Upon returning at around 4:40, her number was still not called and five minutes later, the post office announce that the money has finish and they have to close the counter. All the unpaid people are ask to return again tomorrow.

So how much time and fuel cost one has to pay before getting the fuel rebate?

Don't make any promise if you cannot keep it. Inefficiency of our system is the keyword.

Penang Second Bridge

Quoted from The Star

By ANDREA FILMER, The Star

GEORGE TOWN: The cost of the second Penang Bridge has ballooned from RM2.7bil to RM4.5bil within a year and the state government wants an explanation.

Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said there was no reason for such a huge increase as the official rate of inflation in 2007 was around 2.3%.

“On one hand, the federal government says there is a 2% inflation rate, but at the same time they have allowed a 60% increase of about RM1.6bil for the second bridge.

“If the inflation rate is 2%, then the cost of the bridge should only rise by 2%, and if inflation is truly at 60%, then our salaries should be raised 60%,” Lim said after opening a building exhibition at the Penang International Sports Arena.

He said the federal government had to explain the steep increase in costs as Penangites would eventually have to bear the expense through toll rates.

Do we need the second bridge. As a Penangnite I do not think so. The concept for the second bridge is not really to ease the traffic flow but rather for the cash flow into someone pockets.

The widening of the first bridge to three lanes on each side is in progress, that should help ease the traffic flow for at least the moment. The state Government should stop the construction of the second bridge and utilise the cost to improve the Island transportation system and the ferry services.

Some may not agree to the underground MRT system but do a quick study and start something be it the monorail or the tram system. Penang is really suffocating with no real and functioning public transport.

Should the Federal Government insist on the second bridge, tell them to open the book on the actual costing. If UEM cannot build as per original cost, ask the Chinese to build the whole thing, I am very sure they can built it at a much lower cost that UEM is asking for.

"Government Going Bonkers"

Is our Government going bonkers?

Last night the tv news were announcing how to get your rebate through the post office. If I do not hear wrong this was mentioned, " a person can claim up to five cars under the same name". What the heck, if you can afford five cars, even though they are proton, do you still need the rebate?

Now lets work out together and see whether the Government is really going bonkers.

Is this rebate really helps the poor and needy? Yes said the Government, but how does it helps, it does not give details. By just giving out the rebate of RM625 to every car owners of less than 2000cc is helping the poor and needy.

Many expensive cars affordable only by the rich are 2000cc and below. How much does it cost to buy a 2000cc Toyota or Honda? Can you or I who earn an average 3k a month afford to buy this kind of car?

Just take a walk around the exclusive rich areas and explore the rich guys being given the rebate. Count how many cars does one bungalow have as you walk pass. Most will surely have a mercedes, bmw or even a ferrari but parking beside it you can see at least two or three foreign make cars like toyota, honda which are between 1600cc to 2000cc. So these cars are eligible for the rebates, does it looks right?

The Government is really going bonkers for implementing this rebate method of looking after the poor and needy. They have their reasons and I am sure one of the reason is that many of their own kind are using expensive 2000cc vehicles.

The Government took only four hours to decide the fuel price increase without further studying the implication and damages it will cause us the rakyat. I do not know how long they take to decide on this rebate and how really it will help the poor and needy.

What I think should be done will be more helpful and guarantee that the poor and needy really gets the cash subsidy.

Start the population census, go house to house and access each household occupants and earnings. Set a guideline and limit who are eligible for cash rebate and on the spot issue them coupons that they can cash at any bank.

With these census data, it can be used as a guide for future cash subsidy should the fuel price increase further or the food situation worsen.

The present situation that the Government has created are without proper planning and study, they are all just after thoughts.

100% Wage Increase

Just read from rockybru blog.

CEO & CFO of a GLC to get 100 % wage increase?!

The CEO/President of this major Government-Linked Company, together with his Chief Financial Officer, are going to get a 100 per cent increase in their pay package!

If the CEO is getting a RM50,000 package now, he'll be getting RM100,000 a month. If the CFO is getting RM25,000 now, his package will swell to RM50,000!!!

If it's true that the Board of Directors of Tenaga Nasional Berhad has approved the increment .....Read more at rockybru blog.

And the July tariff rate increase already approved for this GLC ...... hope that is just not true.

What a great Blood Suckers.

To Oil Or Be Oil'ed

There are those who are strongly against the reduction of oil subsidy by such a big percentage, while others are agreeable that the subsidy should go, sooner or later.

I am in agreement that the subsidy should go, although it should not have been introduced in the first place.

From what I see is that the country coffer is running dry and they press the panic button without accounting for its consequences that follows.

Our own Petronas or rather the BN Petronas ( since the rakyat is not entitle to know the accounting of how the profit money are being used ) is making tonnes of money as the price of oil keeps going up. Now the big billion dollar question is "Where Are The Money"?
Since the Government is reluctant to divulge, speculations and rumours are abound. The biggest speculation is "CORRUPTION" followed by creating non beneficial mega projects to entertain their cronies.

Lets recap two years ago when the oil price was increased by 30 cents. The leaders were proud to announce a saving of four (4) billion Ringgit and that this saving will be put into a special account solely for the improvement of the transportation system.

Two years down the road is there any sign of the transportation system improvement and the question again is "what happen to this special account, where has the four (4) billion ringgit gone to"?

This Government is taking the rakyat for fools and with power they think they can do what they want, spend what they like without any accounting. Almost everything with regard to the country money are under OSA or you will be ISA'ed if you ask too much.

As I had said earlier, it is better to rid off the subsidy but before doing so the Government must have the guts and willingness to act on the following:

1) Tell the truth (even if it hurts) and show the full Petronas Account

2) Provide a blue print with time line to construct a proper transportation system for the country.

3) Remove all toll charges or reduce the charges significantly.

4) Hold back all the super corridors

5) No more non beneficial events like the monsoon cup, F1, Langkawi Air-Show etc.

6) No more entertainment and holiday allowances.

7) No more purchasing of imported cars for Government Officials, use Malaysian make cars.

8) Have the GUTS to rid of corruptions and leakages.

There are many, many more that the Government can save on.

I would like to stress a little further on item 2 above. Public transportation is the key to reducing the demand for oil usage. If we have a good and efficient transportation system that can take us anywhere we want, we will not be so hard-up to own a car.

The Government always stated that what they doing are for the rakyat benefits, but they do not outline what are the benefits in the open transparent way. What or how they are going to use the money that are saved from the reduction of subsidy. They must outline a program with timeline of how or what they are going to do. The rakyat needs to be informed regularly, we are no longer the dumb fools of yesteryear's.

Does It Really Helps

"Civil servants to be paid every 2 weeks"

Is this really a good planning for families?

Is this really going to help and curb the rise in fuel prices? Whether you are paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly, the total amount for the month still remain the same, i.e your salary - the take home pay.

The norm for many people is that you tend to spend when there is money in your pocket. So now with the fortnightly payroll, how do you intend to budget your spending?

The normal way of budgeting for the monthly payroll is quite straight forward. Once you received your pay you will do the following (for those who have families) :

1) Pay the house rent

2) Pay utilities bills

3) School expenses

4) Monthly installments ( loans, credit card etc )

5) Groceries and food

6) Keep aside daily expenses for the month

The above are the standard basic requirements.

With the implementation of fortnightly payment of salary how are you going to plan your budget for the month?

You may tend to use up the first half month salary faster then usual as you think that the second half payment is coming shortly. Your budgeting will be screwed up in one way or another. Maybe to some who are prudent with their spending will find no problem with it. But to others I foresee it will affect their budget planning.

To me this does not really help or reduce our burden with the price increase in fuel which will be followed by the increase in almost everything for our daily used.

Is it logical to be paid every two weeks without any pay rise? Is the Government encouraging you to spend? Or is the Government trying to hookwink us by saying that they care for the rakyat?
