Malaysiakini: Opposition Pledges Yet Unfulfilled

Malaysiakini headline highlights the opposition pledges yet to be fulfilled. You can read Malaysiakini report here.

Why only the opposition pledges are always under the reporters or journalists radar. It seems like our country is producing journalists and reporters who are train to attack the weakest link on governance.

The mandate on the 8/3/08 gives the opposition five years to run the states they are in control. Yes there are promises and pledges during the election campaigns. We have to dissect and take a good look inside the promises and pledges. The reporters and journalists are all very well educated and should understand why some pledges and promises cannot be fulfilled immediately. Is there any election laws that require winning parties to fulfill their promises and pledges the next day they take over governance?

I seldom see BN being targeted or questioned on their non fulfillment of their promises and pledges for the past 12 general election, in fact some goes against their promises and pledges. Why are they not attack on a frequent basis?

The journalists and reporters must be able to see and read all sides of the stories fairly for both the opposition and ruling parties. You cannot be afraid to write the truth even if you have to step the toes of those in power.

I agree that Pakatan Rakyat should concentrate more on running the states they are in control rather then preoccupied on power grabbing.

One important thing that the reporters and journalists must pursue is to get the Federal Government to allocate equal funding to all states irrespective of who is governing. They must be reminded that the money belongs to the rakyat and the taxes they collect comes from the rakyat throughout the country. Can the reporters and journalists dare to question where are our money gone to?

Yes, like BN joe is talking cock as well. Never use his brain to think and compare 100 days vs 50 years. Hello friend, do you know arithematic?.

I fully support the above article. Some journalists never use their brains. Promises take time to implement as proper plan and execution cannot be done within 100days. Legal aspects have to consider and federal jurisdiction and control sometime hamper delivery. What about BN manisfesto for the last 50 years?. Or at least for PRU12. Cakap minyak tak naik..tapi all bullshit.

The Barisan Nasional regime has been ruling Malaysia for more than 50 years now. What the BN regime have given to Malaysians for the last 50 years or so has been one scandal after another. The scary bit of it is that there are yet more scandals that are yet to be uncovered. The reason for this is due to the bias and subservient nature of our enforcement bodies and sadly, our judiciary. This, coupled with a media governed by draconian laws such as the Sedition Act, Internal Security Act and the Printing Press Act has made the MSM a toothless tiger.

It is rather disheartening to see that the people are quick to judge the Pakatan Rakyat (Peoples Alliance) government in the 5 States they ruled when these very people kept silent to the abuses of the BN regime that ruled these States for more than 50 years. What’s more disturbing is the fact that these people are not happy that the Pakatan Rakyat Government in these 5 States are uncovering dirt left behind from the previous BN government. Why question a government that has been in power for little more than 100 days but keep quiet about a government that had ruled for more than 50 years?

Even more disheartening is the fact that NGO’s too have jumped into the bandwagon to discredit the Pakatan Rakyat Government which is in it’s infancy in the States they rule. Personalities like Joachim Xavier, BK Ong and Anil Netto have been firing away at the PR Government for the slightest mistake or shall I say misstep. What this people don’t realize is that they are playing into the hands of the BN propaganda machine that is orchestrated by the infamous 4th Floor Boys. Armed with the MSM, the BN propaganda machine is using the opinions and grievances of the People and the NGO’s to go on an onslaught against the Pakatan Rakyat. This can be seen as the only weapon the Badawi regime has to prevent itself from falling into political annihilation.

We must not allow ourselves to be duped or to be used by the BN regime if we want to free ourselves from its clutches.

Anybody talk with brain or brain the talk? You must just remember one important politician phenomenon - they are brainy liars or unbrainy liars. When you vote, just be contented with optimizing your probability of maximizing the unbrainy liars and minimizing the brainy liars. You will not get frustrated if they never performed.
