Badawi Calls For Change In The Election Process For Malaysia PM

Did Badawi Calls For Change In The Election Process For Malaysia PM?

Obama chalks up historic win, reports Malaysiakini

Democrat candidate Barack Obama has been elected as the US first black president following his historic win over Republican rival John McCain. Malaysiakini full report here.

To be among the first to congratulate Obama, Badawi was asked when Malaysia will also have the chance to see a non-Malay prime minister, Abdullah said such situation can happen anywhere as it depends on the people who decide the outcome.

Did Badawi lied again? He knows that the present Malaysia Prime Minister is not elected by the people but by a bunch of umno blood suckers members. Why then did he said that "it depends on the people who decide the outcome". Anyone, including Obama will assume that it means the people of Malaysia and not just a handful of umno members.

Does this mean that Badawi is calling for change on the election process for Malaysia's Prime Minister?

This was posted at YB Lim Kit Siang's blog.

However, Obama’s historic breakthrough make many Malaysians ask whether it is possible for a Chinese, Indian, Kadazan to become the Prime Minister of Malaysia although the Constitution is very clear that any Malaysian citizen, regardless of race or religion can become Prime Minister.

Yes, I think Malaysians must call for the Prime Minister post be elected by all eligible voters and not just by a bunch of blood suckers umno members.

We know this is not going to happen as long as umno is still holding power. The only way is (words borrowed from Khairy) to BURY umno and not only will the country have a legitimate elected Prime Minister but a prosperous united Malaysians.

It takes America 150 years and don't forget why Obama is accepted in the USA, he has a black father and a white mother and he is a Christian.
There are 2 other black leaders in the USA that are well known, former chairman Chief of Joint Staff-General Collin Powel and Rev. Jessie Jackson. both of them did toy around thinking of entering the fray, the former chicken out the later did try but finally they come back to the reality, surely you know the different between Barrack Obama, Collin Powei and Jessie Jackson!!!

dude you got it all wrong,

Even if the ruling party be other than UMNO,

The majority of "third world mindset race supremacy" people still cannot accept that a non prince-of-land race can be their leader.

America is starting to mature and is starting to move away from racism. Malaysia.. has a long way to go. Multi-racial sure, but majority mindset is pretty much "your race, my race".

Mindset. I believe in 50 years time, we may have advanced technology but the people is still very much race-centric and expecting special rights.

Want change? This is not the place.. find it elsewhere.

Americans don't simply choose a president just because he's black
They merely exercise democracy and elect who they think is best
In exercising their basic fundamental rights there is no slack
After the big election they still put the president to the test
