Datuk Seri Anwar - Its Not Shameful To Concede Defeat

Its true a majority of Malaysians want change of Government after the tsunami of March 08 2008 and the Permatang Pauh By-Election.

Its being a few months now that you convince us that you have the majority of MPs to take over the Government. One dateline after one dateline is not call convincing.

Today, Malaysiakini reported yet another of your statement on the taking over the Government. This is what Malaysiakini reported:

Anwar urges patience in bid to remove government
Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim today defended his failure to topple the government a week after claiming he had enough support to seize power, and asked Malaysians to be patient.
More at Malaysiakini.com

Malaysians are a patient lot as proven with their patient with umno rule for the past 50 years. But now they have awaken and may not be that patient as before.

There are two scenarios which I can only indicate after reading all the news about your capability to take over the Government. Please bear in mind that I am not saying that you are a liar or whatever many may have conceived.

1)There maybe indication by some MPs that want to defect to Pakatan Rakyat in the early stages after the March GE. Base on this good omen, you carefully created a string of justifications or elutionillusions that more MPs will defect thus culminating into a series of promise datelines which did not materialized. I am not into politics but seeing how other countries can easily and quickly change their Governments, if they command the majority, without much sensation left me thinking that the change of Government in this country will not happen.

It is not shameful to concede defeat now and concentrate more on the five states that Pakatan Rakyat are ruling and wait for the opportunity to overthrow the Government comes the 13 GE. If you do it right, Malaysians are very forgivable and will understand your political dilemma.

2)You may have the so call number of MP defectors who may just indicate their intention but no commitments. They are waiting for the so call right time and conditions which may not come. They are worry about their safety, investigation by the ACA, police harassment's and whatever punishment by the ruling Government should they voice out their intention to defects. If they are these kind of MPs, I don't think the rakyat would want them as their leaders who are tainted and many of them are.

If they are sincere to join and form a new Government under Pakatan Rakyat, they should not be afraid to come out in the open collectively and declare their intention. They should walk together with Pakatan Rakyat MPs to see the PM and make the takeover there and then.

So, Datuk Seri, its no point keeping the hope alive of taking over the Government if the MPs are reluctant to leave their comfort zone.

It is not shameful to concede defeat now and concentrate more on the five states that Pakatan Rakyat are ruling and wait for the opportunity to overthrow the Government comes the 13 GE. If you do it right, Malaysians are very forgivable and will understand your political dilemma.

I have faith and hope on you but if it cannot be done, just concede defeat and not prolong the situation till the whole country suffer any further.

I THINK MOST OF YOU HAVE GOT THE WHOLE THINGY WRONG!!!!! WHILST I AGREE WITH YOU THAT SOME OF THE DEFECTING MPs MAY HAVE RENEGED AFTER PROMISING DSAI, IT SHOULD NOT BE TOTALLY DSAI'S FAULT. THE CRUX OF THE MATTER IS THE FACT THAT WE ALL WANT CHANGES WHETHER IT BE FROM UMNO OR PKR. I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THERE WILL BE CHANGES BUT ALL THESE COMES WITH A PRICE TO PAY. ARE WE READY TO PAY THE PRICE? DSAI IS PUTTING HIS HEAD ON THE CHOPPING BOARD, SO IS RPK! THEY HAD TO PAY A PRICE FOR STANDING UP TO JUSTICE. ARE WE INCLUDING YOU WILLING TO PAY THAT PRICE. SO BEFORE WE GO BABBLING AWAY ABOUT THE NEGATIVES OF DSAI, THINK! IT IS NOT EASY FOR HIM ALONE TO COME AGAINST A WHOLE ARMY/MACHINERY/BATTALION OF EVIL FORCES FOR OUR SAKES!!!! WE SHOULD HELP/ASSIST HIM TO REALISE THIS DREAM OF THE RAKYAT. AGAIN, I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT THE PROCESS/PROGRESS HAS STARTED AND WE WILL SURELY AND DEFINITELY SEE CHANGES BUT ALL WITH A PRICE TO PAY! DO NOT LOSE HEART, KEEP PRESSING ON TILL WE SEE CHANGES!! DSAI CANNOT DO IT ALONE. THANK YOU.

It is better to do it quietly and ambush these UMNO Malay-Islam Hadhari scums when they are napping.

Why announce your intended takeover date and time. These UMNO Malay-Muslim Hadhari scums will not give up easily and they are very bad losers.

One who never accepted the defeat will never taste a Win. Why don't they stop the chaos and concentrate to help building Malaysia. If They are strong why don't they prove in the next Election. This bullshit political will never end. So accept the defeat and try to prove on the 5 state they won. This political drama must end. Work to together for the sake of the PEOPLE and MALAYSIA. Not just for a single person or party. Come think about this. End this Political Soap Opera. Enough is Enough!!!! Remember The CITIZEN IS MORE POWERFUL THAN THE LEADER WHEN THEY SPEAK!!!!! KEEP THIS HARMONY AND PEACEFUL ENVIROMENT!!!

Yes it takes a great man to admit defeat however that is only the battle not the war. We must live to fight another day to win the WAR.

I agree that even if DSAI had some commitments, those who are just waiting to go with the flow are not particularly useful

Agree with BloodSuckers...

To DSAI Concerntrate on the 5 states...Prove yourself and the next election Insya Allah rakyat will vote for you.

For those who ask the rakyat to be patience, why dont ask DSAI to be patience till for the next election? Is this for him or for the rakyat ? Do not make those who had voted for him and PR turn away in the next election because of this.

There are lots of rakyat who doesnt read blogs and lots of fencer voters. They are just watching what's going on...wrong move they'll vote for other than PR in the next election.
