Suspension, Is This Call Taking Stern Action?

The verdict is out after more than two weeks of racial tension created by none other then the UMNO Penang Kingpin, Ahmad Ismail.

Earlier reports by Malaysiakini stated that the PM will take stern action against Ahmad for his racist remarks made over several days.

When you take stern action, it means hash, rigidly steadfast action and not a mere suspension.

As announced by the PM and reported through Malaysiakini,

Bukit Bendera Umno division chief Ahmad Ismail has been suspended for three years from the party over his racial rants and also be stripped of all party posts.

UMNO supreme council took three hours to come to this suspension decision. From what I gather there must be some kind of pre-arrangement to suspend Ahmad for three years. Can this three years suspension cure this racist personality and ensure that he will not commit such crime again?

There is no mention whether the police will continue their investigation and if a crime is committed, will he be charged accordingly?

Such a serious crime being committed in a multi racial society and yet this Ahmad just got a suspension and they dare call it "stern action".

We have to wait for a few hours or days for Gerakan and MCA to come out with their comments but I am very sure that they are very happy with the decision.

I would like to say that "stern action" such as sack him from UMNO and restrict him from joining or involve in politics for life should be the verdict.
