He posted topics in both English and Chinese and I can only comment my views on those that are written in English as I am Chinese illiterate.
Many have the view that Dr. Chua is a pragmatic person and quite a fighter. Even though the plague of the DVD sex scandal hovering over him, he is not that a simple man to go into oblivion but standing firm his right to have his own private life.
Speaking his mind through the blog indicates that he is still an MCA man but deviate in some of the original party principles. His articles can sometime tell that he wants changes within the party but at the same time holding back a little because the real master is still watching over MCA.
He is more open in his writing on topics like "Cancellation of Bar Council Forum", "Amendment to University and University College Act", "Post 308 Election: MCA Division Election and Its Reform" and many others".
His statement in one of the topics, The likely emergence of 2 party system creates a healthy environment of competition and offers rakyat a choice. Political parties have to be competitive in order to survive indicates he is willing to accept the true political environment.
But on the same tone he wrote, The Barisan Nasional (BN) has become and I believe shall always be a model for progressive power-sharing by which Malaysia will always be governed. If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, then the Pakatan Rakyat alliance is surely modeled on BN. While Umno, as well as MCA and MIC has its weaknesses, it is still by and large a party of moderates which is capable of evolving and changing, as are its coalition partners.
So it is like something that is good and at the same time it is bad. I leave that for you to draw your own conclusion.

I hope that he can be elected the next MCA President and be as bold as his writing on his blog to counter UMNO's wrong doing against the other races.
We wish him all the best in his fight for the Presidency should he go for it.

I spoke with some MCA members, they said over their dead bodies if a tainted man become President.
If CSL become President, MCA will have to kowtow more lower to UMNO cos UMNO/Islam will look at the party with more disdain. Die lah Chinese if MCA become like that.
Even in US, Europe, leaders caught by moral thingy have to come down.
Do you agree Malaysia standard can be lower than international one? CSL can still contribute behind the scenes.
