Two men plotted and carry out several rapes, robberies and murders. One day, one of them grew tired and decide to lodge a report against the other for the crimes. In the police report he stated that he was forced to commit the crimes. The police sprang into action to gather evidences against the accused and place the accuser under police protection. Finally the accused was charge with the crimes base on amended police report that the accused and the accuser were both committing the crimes on consensual basis. When question why the accuser who committed these crimes together consensually was not charged, the top brass explain that when a person comes forward to report on a matter, the person would be protected. So the story is that if you commit any crime together with a partner and later report your partner to the police, you will be given police protection and will not be charged.
The above is just a make up story and hope that it will never happen in our country.
But sad to say the following news about a sodomy case happening now is going the way like the above story.
A man was today charged on the basis of consensual sodomy, whereby the other who make the police report was under police protection.
Sodomy in this country is a crime and if convicted can be jailed up to 20 years.
Consensual as explain in the oxford dictionary is of or by consent or consensus i.e in consent to the act. So by the law of this country both should be charged of the sodomy case.
The Star report on the Home Minister explanation on why the accused was not charged.
Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan is not being charged because he is the key witness in the sodomy case against PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar.
He said that in a criminal justice system, when a person comes forward to report on a matter, the person would be protected.
"Usually, the victim would be given protection," said Syed Hamid who spoke to reporters after the MoU signing ceremony between Malaysian and Australian Governments on immigration cooperation at a hotel here on Thursday.
Can you believe that, when both parties are consensual to the act, one party can become the victim. How does he suddenly become a victim and also be the key witness to a consensual act of sodomy.
The more the top echelon try to defend Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan the more the public tend to believe this is a conspiracy to kill off a strong political opponent.

It's clear that the government doesn't even care what the public thinks about it. They just want to get rid of Anwar, and send a message to the rest of us that this could happen to you too.
If General Election were tomorrow, BN can kiss goodbye to running this country.
